We are proud to share this lovely journey between a client and therapist, reflecting many years of collaboration, growth, and communication development.

Lucy shared the following testimonial: "I am writing to share my experience of working with Fran, my Speech and Language Therapist for over nine years.

Throughout this time, Fran has been committed to supporting my communication and independence. One of her main goals was helping me access social media using my eye gaze. This took a lot of time and persistence, but she continued to work on it and find ways to make it possible.

As a result, I am now able to use social media, which has made a big difference to how I communicate and connect with others. It has given me more independence and opportunities to express myself.

Fran has also played an important role in supporting my education. I couldn’t have completed my GCSEs or my diploma without her preparation and support. She helped me develop the skills and confidence I needed to succeed.

Fran is always encouraging and motivates me to keep progressing. She recognises my abilities and consistently supports me to build on them.

Overall, Fran has had a strong and positive impact on my development over the years, and I appreciate her ongoing support."

Following Lucy’s lovely testimonial, Francesca Sephton shared her reflections on their journey together.

Francesca said:

"I absolutely love working with Luc and continue to learn so much from her.

She recently was filmed for the I-ASC project about her experience of AAC assessment over the years. She said something so powerful which I keep referring back to: “When you work with someone like me, don't think of yourself as the 'expert' giving me a tool. Think of yourself as a consultant helping me build my voice”.

She has pushed me to look at innovative solutions to give her access to what she wants when her AAC didn’t meet her needs. Working with her and her family has been so enjoyable with lots of laughs and voice notes, particularly when things break!

I have watched Luc achieve so much and can’t wait to see what’s next for her. This year I am excited to jointly present with her on self advocacy and AAC as she has so much to share that can help others! 🌟"
