Our ATmentors are an award-winning, innovative team. They are expert AAC users with lived experience of using AAC for communication and assistive technology to support their access to education, leisure and daily living. This lived experience makes them uniquely qualified to help build confidence and solve problems with other families and AAC users who may be at an earlier stage in their use of AAC. Whether this is supporting communication goals, building confidence in new environments or looking towards the future in AAC, our ATmentors have the skills to help problem solve and promote independence.

Our ATmentors work closely with our Speech and Language Therapists and assistive technologists to deliver fun and engaging sessions for children, young people and adults who use AAC. They are also always on hand to deliver training and contribute to ongoing education for our team, the wider MDT and families.
